This weekend will see Kyle Smith, a professional triathlete from New Zealand race amongst other elite professionals in Samorin, Slovakia in order to gain crucial points for Team International at the Collins Cup.
Throughout his training and racing, Kyle will be supported by the wide range of Parcours wheelsets to ensure that he has the best options for every course profile to enable him to race as efficiently as possible.
The Collins Cup is made up of 12 head-to-head races, each with a single athlete from the three teams, Team Europe, Team USA and Team International. The 36 competitors from these regional teams will take on a 2km swim, 80km bike, and 18km run at the state-of-the-art x-bionic sphere situated on the banks of the River Danube.
The teams will each feature six women and six men, with the PTO World Rankings dictating four of the places for each gender. The final places on each team are selected through the captain’s picks and it was through this selection where Kyle was called up to Team International.
The team at Parcours are confident that by supporting Kyle and supplying him with wheelsets from their range that he will be prepared to perform well at this high-profile event regardless of racing conditions.
Alongside the main event itself, the Professional Triathlete Organisation (PTO) are keen to showcase the weekend as an all-inclusive festival celebration of triathlon. During the same weekend Challenge Family’s The Championship event will be hosted at the same venue, where Tom Davis, also supported by Parcours, will be racing.
