Today Compete PR are celebrating the one year anniversary since Sam Begg joined the team!
Sam was the very first employed member of Compete PR, joining in August 2020. And it’s safe to say that he hit the ground running from day one; a fountain of endurance sports knowledge, not shy of hard work and dedication.
Sam has secured countless pieces of coverage for our clients, made many favourable media relationships and ensured the smooth running of day to day business.
He had this to say about his time at Compete PR so far: “I’ve had such a memorable first year at Compete PR. From joining in the midst of lockdown 1.0 to meeting Kate face to face for the first time almost 6 months later, it’s been a wild ride.
“I’ve had a brilliant time being part of the team and promoting clients in an industry I’m truly passionate about, and I’ve loved seeing our range of products in the flesh in print and digital media as a result of our hard work.
“Having Amy join Compete PR recently has allowed us to be even more focused on specific opportunities so I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
And Kate said, “Sam joined me at an incredibly busy time, I was single-handedly managing all aspects of the business, and found Sam after initially looking for some admin support. We started with a three-day-a-week freelance arrangement, but he nailed it, and within no time at all, we’d ramped him up to being a full-time employee.
“Sam has a tremendous work ethic and is a talented PR professional, with an eye for detail, natural capacity to form and maintain relationships and the drive to always do the very best job possible. He’s a credit to the team, and the successes we’ve been fortunate enough to experience over the last 12 months have been largely down to his appointment. Thanks so much, Sam – you’re an absolute pleasure to work with!”
